Good morning everyone. I hope your all doing well.
So yesterday my husband called the guy that owns the other house we wanted. He said he's going to be out of town until Monday. It wouldn't be a big deal except that's not what he said when we saw the house-he said a couple days. Feels like he could be putting us off, I don't know.
We do have another house to look at today at 4pm, it's also 4 bedroom/2 bathroom but it's more expensive at $950 per month.
At this point, I don't care where we move as long as we have a roof over our heads! We have 9 days left and a LOT to do in that amount of time
As much as this has been a crazy ride I do feel like God is directing our path on this journey. There have been too many shut doors, and I know the open door is around the corner.
Something is going to happen soon! I will tell y'all what happens with this house after we see it.

It does sounds like he is putting you off, I wonder why. Maybe this other home is a better option in the long run.

I'm sorry that this guy is jerking you around so badly, it might be a sign and maybe you'll find the next place that you look at will be better. I cannot imagine how stressed you must feel, but you're handling it with a very positive attitude, and I only wish the very best at today's appointment.

@LovingMyBabies Well I think that you're doing a fantastic job today-and of course with the clock ticking you do not really have time to handle it poorly, there has to be a ton of work to do. I can only imagine. You'll come out of this fine, you're already showing us that.

If you're able to get the other house, I would take whatever is available or offered to you first. I hate when landlords poke around and don't give you a straight answer.

@Srbageldog Yeah we will take either one at this point. I don't understand it-either you want to rent the place out or you don't. Why is it so difficult?

The price for rental properties has been on the rise here. A house without utilities would go for about $1500 a month. That is just insane.

@ElusiveButterfly Yeah, the houses I mention here are the only ones that are cheap. A nice house here starts at $1,200 per month without utilities. We are finding homes in not so good areas or they need a little work.

Well, I hope something will come through for you. Don't panic..if you have to stay there longer than the 30th I am sure your current landlord will be agreeable.

@snowy22315 I hope so too. No, he came by yesterday and asked if we found a place yet. We said we are still looking. He said I need the place empty and clean by the end of the month...
You can tell he's getting sicker because his mood swings are definitely there.

@CookieMonster46 Yeah, he mentioned the word selling to my husband on the phone too though so now we don't know if he wants to rent it out or sell it to someone.
Either way, hopefully one of these houses works out for us.

950 isn't that bad if it is a decent square footage. Hopefully something happens soon. Moving is stressful, we all know this. It is always a pain when something sets it back when you have such limited time.

@DesirousDreamer Yeah it's 1700 sq. feet so it's not a horrible price. The other house was just cheaper for the same footage so it's a little frustrating.

He could have had a personal emergency, OR he could be very wishy washy. Keep looking while you wait. Even $950 is less than what you have been paying. You can do this.
