My Photography - Zoo Animals Part 5

This is another Zoo photo. This one is of the chimps. For the longest time this was the only chimp out there and then they sounded a monkey alarm. Then about 5 or 6 came from behind the hill. I guess the zoo keepers had put out treats or something because then they just walked around and kept picking up small hard brown things and eating them. You can see one of the treats in his mouth. They also kept going up to the thing on the side of the wall to drink water. One just sat in front of while eating her treat.
This is another one of those photos that shocked me that it came out so well. Like I said a lot of these photos are taken through thick glass and it was hard to get the camera to either focus on the animal or get a photo that didn't have someone's reflection in it. I have another one that has two chimps in it that I will post better. I did a lot of editing to it to fill in the grass and it makes me feel like I was right in the jungle only 10 feet away from them when I took the photo.

Thank you. I like to watch them because they are very interesting to watch. It is crazy how similar they are to humans sometimes. The youngest one swung from the tree they have in there and fell. It was funny and I wish I had gotten a good photo of that but instead I jsut got his blurry little body falling mid-air.

Thank you. I love the zoo as well. This is the first time I have been since I was very little. Ours is really big and only 2 or 3 of the animals weren't out. The polar bears were one of them that wasn't out but it was extremely hot that day.

That is really good that only 2 or 3 of the animals were not out. I think when it is hot maybe some of the animals prefer to be inside and not out in the heat. We have train that stops at places where people can get on and off. I would walk around and get lost. They give maps out,but, I am not a good map follower. I have not been there in ages.

Casey, I still have not been to our zoo in ages. Maybe one day I will go over the summer if not too crowded. I wish I could take my scooter, but, cannot go on highways or little highways and might be too far and I hate taking buses.

It was extremely hot that day also so I have no idea how they actually keep cool.

Great photo. I love taking photos of animals even at the zoo. Some photos come out good some not so good.
