Dream locations that are really real

Have you ever had a dream about a place that you've never been to, and it ends up being a real place? I have had that happen twice now. Many years before I ever knew my ex-fiance - I dreamt the following. -- I was out with someone (I couldn't see who it was) we were out sight-seeing and it was very foggy out. I was taking a picture at the time of an angel statue, so beautiful in the fog. The person I was with was a complainer. "Photography is stupid. Hurry up! We don't have time for this. etc...." 4 years ago - my fiance at the time and I went to Chicago. As a side note - My ex-fiance was very disparaging about my artistic endeavors - something I was just coming to gripes with at the time. Walking to our hotel in Chicago - there, up on the high roof of one of the buildings, in the fog - was an angel statue like in my dream. That was the first one. Now for the second one. Years ago , I also used to dream about an old, shabby-chic (read: worn) movie theater. I remember being in the company of people I liked, though I couldn't see faces . The movie theater had specific details. It was red and gold, but so old that the red appeared maroon and the gold looked yellow. It had weird railings. Fast-forward to now. A few weeks ago I went with my friends to a little theater nearby. It basically is the theater I dream of down to the weird railings. Am I gullible to believe that I dreamed these locations? If I am really seeing the future in my dreams - why am I shown such things? (Not that I don't enjoy it.) Has something similar ever happened to you? Here's the movie theater :

I personally think they were coincidental, but pretty cool! I've read books that took place in certain cities and pictured then in my mind. Years later when I visited those cities, it was as if I had been there before.

That is possible too - after all -- It's not a big stretch of the imagination that a theater should be decorated in reds and golds (as in my dreams).... That's cool - that must feel like deja vue then :-)

Oftimes as we go through life we will given mile markers to either point us along our way or sometimes just to show us we are on the right path. I would say your dream and later seeing the exact same thing in physical reality suggests you are exactly where you need to be. Dreams are not always just garbage falling out your head.

Oh, I do like that. That is a great meaning. Sometimes I think I look for too specific of meanings..... thank you for your input.

@FayeHazel Understandable, we tend to think our dreams are completely meaningless or full of meaning. Many dreams are much more subtle than that. Glad I could help.

I had a idea of what Sydney, Australia would be like and I was right. It has a beautiful bridge and a stunning looking opera house. I thought before I went there about its harbour. I was right about it having wonderful destinations like Shark Bay and Watson's Bay. I imagined Manly, the pretty beachside location reachable on ferry from Circular Quay.

I believe in astral projection, more or less. That would be one way to see places we haven't seen before, weirdly enough we get to see them later. I don't remember if I saw a place I dreamed of before, if not, I'm waiting.

I'll have to look up astral projection, don't know much of it, but it seems plausable. It's a cool experience so I hope you get to experience it. :-)
