I grew up depending on my Mom, but very early in life I had to learn how to cook my own food

My wife does all the cooking. I enjoy eating the meals she makes and I will always treasure the times we have together sharing a good meal. Life is short so eat more home cooked meals.
I do know how to make home made chili and scrambled eggs. That and beans and macaroni. That is about all I know how to make except PB&B sandwiches.

I started cooking easy dishes very early in time, but over the years and practice, I was able to cook more sophisticated dishes. It´s good to have someone that cooks for you. You could even choose who´s cooking when with your wife

I have cooked since I was about 13, then it was for just 3 of us, Mom, brother and me. My mom had to work 2-3 jobs to pay bills and put food on the table. I got married and have cooked for anywhere from 2 to 15 people. We have gone back down to 3 people as all but 1 child is own there own. I have to say might sound weird but I liked cooking for more people then I do less.

@quantum2020 Not to toot my own horn but I can hold my own .. lol Older kids will hear I'm making something and want it. I do make special dishes that I know is a favorite of each kid and send it to them once in a while. I think they appreciate it, touch of home and love from mom.

I was about your age when I started cooking my own meals. The most I have cooked for is two people. I guess you know how to cook good dishes. Having so many péople in one table must be some kind of cooking pleasure for you|

My mom cooks most of the time. When I lived on my own I did cook (if we actually had food in the house) but since my mom buys the food, she cooks it. I try and chip in to cook but sometimes I don't get a chance.

It´s very convenient. I learned some from living at home; others, just by reading

@quantum2020 that's an important factor, too, being willing to learn and experiment.

I've learned to cook the basic menus. However, I don't cook my food currently. It's my Mother-in-law who does cooking in our house now.
I cook food very slowly and enjoy doing it =)

Cooking can be a therapy. I like to cook some of the dishes my mother used to cook

The healthiest food one can get it´s the one that is prepared by one. I always try to buy fruits and vegetables, also white meat. That´s the healthiest food

That´s good. I love vegetables but I haven´t been a complete vegetarian, just flexitarian, I wish I could become a complete vegetarian, in that way I would be enjoying more vegetables

It´s good to prepare one´s own food. One always knows what´s going to enter the system

Most of the time I cook my own food. But, as I live downtown, and near so many restaurants (cheap ones) I do go very often as well to these places and have meals there.

Cooking owns own food is one of my favorite habits too; I sometimes look for near places when I´m not able to cook. I like to buy snacks that I use as pain killers, sometimes

That´s the ideal, someone who does the cooking for busy people
