Young Adult Council

A couple days ago a friend of mine sent me some information on this Young Adult Council, thinking it might be something my son would be interested in.
A theater group down in the city holds this Young Adult Council where teens from the local area get together and create events to help foster the love of theater in younger generations..
The perks of being a part of this council is that they go to workshops etc with professional theater cast and crew and learn more about the arts.
So my son sent in an application and got the call today that he was accepted. He also found out that he gets a free ticket to the shows that are put on at this theater!
He is extremely excited.
August 17th will be his first Young Adult Council meeting!
I hope he ends up enjoying it!

That's awesome! I cringe how there are all these cuts being made for the arts of any kind . . . it's so wonderful that these programs are out there for the youth - and I hope they will forever continue. All and any experience he can get will be a plus . . . I hope he enjoys it too!!

Well this is put on directly by a theater group.. but it does seem like their are fewer and fewer of these types of activities available to kids. I also hope he enjoys it and learns something from it!
