Laguna Beach Birthday at the Spa

I recently celebrated my birthday and my four daughters went together to give me the gift of a spa day in Laguna Beach.
My local daughter, who lives seven miles from me, also joined me for the day, along with my teenage granddaughter.
The spa we went to was at a local hotel. First, my daughter and I walked a couple of miles on the beach. Then, the three of us swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub, followed by lunch. Above is the photo I took from our poolside lounge chairs. Afterwards, my granddaughter lounged by the pool the rest of the afternoon, while my daughter and I enjoyed the steam room and a massage.
After our relaxing day, we picked up my husband and a grandson, and we all went out to dinner together.
It was a wonderful birthday, despite the fact that I am now 68 ... far closer to 70 than I would like to be! However, I cannot think of a better way to spend the day. It was the most thoughtful birthday gift I could imagine!

@LadyDuck - I never minded being 67. Now that I am 68, however, I feel like "70" is looming far too close. LOL

@DianneN - Thanks, Dianne. You will probably see less of me on MyLot for awhile but, unlike Elizabeth Wallace, I plan to stay here because I enjoy the connection with other people across the country and around the world. I'm just a bit overwhelmed right now.

Those are the ones I love the best too, Diana. I love pedicures, facials or a relaxing massage and also usually get one at least, for my birthday!
