Ever see plastic with that wood grain printed on it? It seems that more and more products are made from PLASTIC and far less made from wood. Like those laminated table tops and desks sold in department stores. The laminate with printed wood grain on them are stuck with adhesive on top of pressed particle board. This is just sick and cheap and very low quality. Plastic actually makes imperfect. They make car body parts from plastic. the console and dash are plastic. The panel control switch buttons are plastic. The frame for your rear view mirror is plastic. The bumper on many cars are electroplated plastic. This is just plain cheap. There was a time when plastic plates, cups and bowls along with picnic supplies such as plastic forks, spoons and knives were very popular along with plastic storage boxes for leftovers. They might like to make plastic but I can tell you for sure, plastic is bad for the environment. The oceans are contaminated with plastic. It has a shelf life of about: 450 to maybe 1000 years before it decomposes. Plastic is not very bio-degradable.
Plastic water bottles can take hundreds or even thousands of years to completely biodegrade, wasting resources in the process. Postconsumers explores.
