Some Songs and Memories Go Together

When I hear snippets of old songs from houses, shops or vehicles, they remind me of certain people and places.
Like, when I hear Passenger Seat by Stephen Speaks, it reminds me of another song, Later by Fra Lippo Lippi. I remember where I worked and my officemates there when I hear those songs.
I don't know if these songs were played where you are.
Do you associate certain songs with certain people and places?

Depends on the place or mood that I'm having. But in my head, there are songs that constantly change when ever there's a playing similar tone..anyways, this is why I end up watching music videos in youtube.

I used to hear Stitches and Burns everyday in the office until it became my team's theme song. Whenever someone starts humming it, everyone would chime in. It's a lovely song anyway.
When I'm feelin' a bit down or something, i would always turn to music. It somehow helps me think of something else.. places and people, good and funny memories.

I associate them more with the time of my life when they were popular. Often I don't like to hear old songs from unhappy times but, eventually, grow to appreciate at least some of them.

I can relate to this, whenever I hear a song I'm reminded of family trips, a movie, or a beloved family member.

Most definitely! There are certain "disco" age songs that remind me of the daily school bus ride in 6th grade. Early 80s songs remind me of the dances in junior high. Mid 80s song remind me of high school. Certain 80s songs remind me of when I first started college and had the best co-worker friends. Music has been with me literally every step of the way . . . I definitely attach music to the people I've known and the places I've been!

Yes, I have this song which I frequently listen when I was in another place. When I hear the song being played nowadays, I would always remember the time I was in that place. The melody seems to form part of a certain memory stored in our brain.

Oh indeed I do.
I have always memories all the time.
Each song seems to bring a ton of remembrances of places.
