Today I Found Out Someone That I Knew Passed

I am in the process of applying to and interviewing for school jobs and I had to ask some people I know and have known for reference letters for an upcoming interview. In that process, I discovered that someone I have done childcare for in the past died last year leaving behind 2 daughters who I babysat for. There was an article in the Globe about her struggling with anorexia throughout her life and she was only 44 when she died. Her daughters are 8 and 10. They had to move out of Boston and to Connecticut with their uncle and aunt. I found the GoFundMe page and sent a message to their uncle. I cannot contribute right now but I may in the future if I can. I really liked the single mom and daughters and those 2 girls were 2 of my favorite kids to care for. It was such a shock and so very sad. What have others experienced with this type of thing?

It's just life and something we have no control of. But Im sure those girls are in the care of their other relatives. I am lucky for now my family is healthy and safe.

That is true and yes they live with their uncle and aunt. You are lucky and I am too for the same reason.
