Look at them knees!

The photo shows our little Leah. Oh my it also shows that she stands on all four feet. The picture tickles me cause of just that: Leah stands on all four feet. Her knee ligaments are Doctor made and Doctor arranged. She now plays and runs and is hassled by Sally in fine order. There's life in Leah. She is not delighted that she was told to "stand!" No indeed but she did do as she was told. She is not a happy gal for the moment but the second I got the photo snapped I released her so all was better. Yesterday I read on facebook an ad from a local lady. The lady is highly allergic to cats. The lady saw someone throw an orange striped kitten from their car and then the blankety sub human sped away- thank you God the kitty looks to be fine though I'm sure rattled. (How would you like to be tossed from a moving vehicle??) The lady took in kitty cat and now looks for a home for the little mite. This post is a call to action. Is there nothing we can do about being inhumane? Nothing that says to us that life is sacred and should not well, be tossed out a car window? If we had chosen to end Leah's days cause we did not have the credit card, we would have done it quickly and as humanely as possible. Thank you God that we could make another choice cause Leah appears to be hale and hearty as she runs around on man made knee ligaments.

@rebelann Its taken months but Leah is able to stand, like I said, and its glorious to see. Not just one but two of her back legs being wonky, causing her terrible pain so that she trembled and wasn't able to stand for very long. So glad all that is done with.

@rebelann Thanks for letting me know you can see the photo. (Heh. That rhymes.) I love how she stands on all her feet.

So happy to hear that Leah is walking again. Cheers for that old lady who saved that cat. That man should've been fined and taken that cat to the local animal shelter like the ASPCA.

@KristenH I agree with you. Our local shelter is poor. It demands that when a person releases an animal to them that they get 20 dollars. I know it is not cheap for them to take in the orphan but that fee isn't helping folks to want to hand over animals to them.

@KristenH She says she gets migraines when around cats. Its quite something that she rescued the cat due to that, too.

@sallypup That's a shame. You need more local shelters or pet rescuers to claim that cat. I hope that old lady adopts the cat.

We can be responsible ourselves. We can find out what the law in our individual states are on inhumane treatment of animals. Report it when we see abuse. We need to be advocates for the animals and show others we care and will not put up with any kind of abuse we see. I think this lady you write about should be commended. Being highly allergic but yet taking the little one in and trying to find it a home. It is so heart warming to see Leah on all fours. Go girl!

@celticeagle I agree with you and thanks for cheering on Leah. She's come out of a long tunnel. I have called the sheriff and gotten nothing done so when I could I took on acts of civil disobedience.

@sallypup ......I would check around as far as reporting people.Check with the humane society and ask them what they advise. I know you have to have proof and probably the sheriff would want you to sign a complaint to get things going.

@celticeagle Like I said, civil disobedience- we stole the neighbor's dog. I did call the sheriff once and they said so long as the animals were fed and watered the sheriff could do nothing. The dog was housed in an outdoor shack kennel and was not fed well and was not socialized and yeah, she managed to get in my car and ended up across the county with folks who would give her a decent life. The cats over there I don't know what to do about. Skinny and tons of them, probably inbreeding, not shiny coated like my fur kids. Disgusting is the nicest way to put it.

@BelleStarr Me, too. I also hope that my county gets a spay and neuter clinic going some day sooner than later.

Leah is adorable and much blessings to her. This is such delightful news. My Sid sends his sincerest meows to Leah. He has been luck health wise just once a couple of winter ago he fell asleep on the windowsill above our heater in the wintertime and fell off. The result was him hobbling on three paws for awhile but fortunately he didn't need the vet. Each day he tested his hurt leg himself and soon was back to normal.

@RasmaSandra I'm glad it wasn't a break. Like I said, maybe a sprain or a bruise. Owie.

@RasmaSandra Thanks, Sid. I'm glad you didn't get burned. It sounds like maybe you sprained your poor leg. I'm sorry that happened.

I don't see the picture. What kind of a jerk would throw a kitten from their car? I'm glad the kitty is fine :)

@cpefley Thanks. At first I had trouble posting the photo. Have to size it right and make my computer do that.
