Lights out!

I left home this morning at 6:25AM. I don't want to be late; it is the first duty day of level 3 students. Nobody came late, although they are considered late but that was before 7am. We went to the third floor for the orientation. We positioned our tables and chairs in the spot where the aircondition unit will provide us cool temperature. Suddenly at 8am, lights went off. Then after a few seconds it was on again and the A/C continued to cool the place where we were. When I arrived home,I noticed the quiet surroundings. Then the house was dark. Aha! We had power outage for 9 hours. I was sweating so profusely that the insensible loss was so sensibly dripping like crazy. Lights came back at 5pm. Now, I can enjoy the cool wind from the fan. It is gloomy but it is okay. I should be angry but no! I am glad I can now watch one of my favourite television series,Wildflower.

Even we are facing this power cut problem , ah it's irritating. We never used to have power cuts in rainy season previously..

@ridingbet I don't mind it so much if it's off late at night when I'm asleep... As long as it's back on when I'm up...

power resumed at 5PM. my sister told me to connect the TV and switch it on but i said the power might close again. true enough, it was just a test switch-on, then power came back after 5 minutes.

It's annoying to come back home and have no power. You must have been tired.

Our angry does not serve any purpose as the power supply is beyond our control. Good that you are glad instead of angry.

yes, if i get angry, my blood pressure might rise and my heart rate might go berserk. i just shrugged it off, and felt glad later because i watched my favorite TV series.

there are 3 supermalls about to open at the end of the year, that could be one of the reasons.

We lose power when the wind blows to hard and knocks over trees, it makes making supper a bit of a pain. Glad you got to watch your show.

@ridingbet it is poles, many other states have theirs under ground but not here. I am told underground is better. But a strong wind or heavy ice will snap a line.

@mom210 in Kuwait, they have their electricity connected underground so no danger if a strong dust storm passes through their city.

yes my friend. may i ask if your electricity is connected in your homes through the electric posts, or it is underground? maybe if through electric posts, the power is cut off during strong winds, or maybe the electricity office switches off to prevent further damage and outage.

it is really a disaster if it is so hot and there is power outage. that is why there are some senior citizens who die due to heatstroke and hypertension. as for me, i have my hand fan to keep myself cool, despite the over-hot temperature. now though, it is windy; maybe because there is a weather disturbance near my place.
