First Bike Mod: Water Bottle Cage

United States
July 27, 2017 5:33pm CST
This is a must have for any bike, the water bottle cage. They had all sorts of colors (blue, green, red, black, white) but I selected the classic aluminum silver color. Funny thing is they charge you $1.99 if you want them to install the $5.99 water bottle cage. I'm good, I can unscrew (2) screws and screw the (2) screws back in myself.

Those are easy to install. I don't have one, as I use a hydration pack.

So screw and unscrew, saving about $ 2. I see that even from your parts, the "trick" is used to finish the last two digits with 99. I do not I fall! 1.99 for me 2 !!

@infatuatedbby A trick to make believe it is 1. But for 1 cents less, virtually the expense is 2 The eye is deceived by the "heavier" number, the first left (1). But 0.99 is practically 1?   So the cost is $ 2, just missing ... a penny!

@alberello75 Oh yeah, it is actually more than $2 because of tax.

It's always the labor that costs more! But this one I'm sure you can do yourself. Save that money for a snack stop while you guys are riding .

@Hannihar That is okay. For this one I think you can. Just unscrew the 2 screws and screw it back in. But there are always people to help assist :)
