Finally Friday!

After working a 12 day stretch I am looking forward to the end of this day. Not only do I get out earlier, by 45 minutes, I have the next 3 weekends off! And, yes, I am a bit tuckered out from working that 12 day stretch.
The powers that be were supposed to work it out so that we could have a day off when we worked our one weekend off. That hasn't happened yet. They always sound so sympathetic to our plight when we bring up the problem in our monthly meetings, but offer no solution to the problem. Truth is there isn't enough staff to cover our clients if we were to get a day off.
With the weather complying for the next several days, I intend to venture off somewhere and enjoy myself. Saturday I hope to go visit my mother and bring her a nice picnic lunch. Sunday is my big day. Big that I will be turning 60. Yay! Every time I write that number I sit back and realize how fast my life has slipped by.
Little Miss is doing much better. Her eye is healing nicely. Only have to put the medicine in her eye for 3 more days. She struggles with me when I try to put it in though. Hubby has to hold her still. Oh the joys of parenting a 2 year-old!

I'm off this weekend also. I work most weekends because I am so new in this workplace, but I really dislike it.
Happy early birthday to you, I hope that you enjoy the day.
I'm a few years younger then you are and I cannot believe that I am the age that I am and how quickly those years fled by me. There are days that I still feel like a 25 year old, but then there are days that I feel like I'm in my 70's or older!
Glad to hear that your granddaughter has responded so well to the eye drops.

I am told that I don't look anything near my age. It takes the edge off the fact that I am turning 60.

@ElusiveButterfly That must be so nice to hear, I feel that I look every day my age, but a lot of that has to do with a lifetime of less then perfect health I think, and genetics.

Little Miss was being a fussbudget. I decided to have lunch at home and put her down for a nap. I did get the housework done though.

@DianneN I have taken 3 days off this month. Hopefully I will get at least one or two days at the beach. Have to speak to my SIL and daughter to see if they will go with me if the hubby can't. He is supposed to be back at work on the 14th. That is the day I plan on going to Maine.

Thankfully neither my husband nor I caught it. I was a bit worried. He was certain that she stuck her finger in her eye. I know pink eye when I see it though. The medicine worked wonders.

I will have to venture off on my own I fear. Nothing grand planned. Hubby mentioned going to Lake George, but I am doubtful that is going to happen now.
