Do you put the food together or separate them before eating?

July 28, 2017 3:11pm CST
The cooks say there are two types of people in the world: those who mix all foods (no matter the order) in the plate and those that separate the food in an organized way before eating them, as if they were having some kind of care. Which team do you belong to?

I put them on separately. Of course, if it is stew, chili, or Spanish Rice, it is all together. It depends on what it is.

depends on the food - food that is cooked together is great, food that isn't should be separated... now, somethings, like broccoli and spinach taste good with orange sauce on them, and I don't mind if they get friendly, but other things should be kept far from the other food.

It depends on what occasion. If it is a buffet, then I will put the food together.

Always these either / or questions! There must be zillions on this site. As if doing something in between were indecent.

@MALUSE If you don't like what's being posted, I have an incredible tip for you: do not post anything. Pretty easy, isn't it?

@TheInvisibleMan @Corbin5 Thanks for the tip. I'd never have thought of this possibility myself. :-)

To keep them separately is what I do, every dish has different taste.

I can go either way especially depending on what the food is. I don't really see what the difference is since it all goes to the same place and certainly isn't separated there. My grandson however gets very upset if any of his food gets mixed together.

Depends on what the food is. Corn and mashed potatoes i will mix together, and a few other items like that. But mostly my food is separate on my plate.

I don't know which side I would fall on for this, but anything that can and should be mixed I mix. For example, I can't stand salads that aren't mixed through with the dressing or spaghetti with the sauce on top.
