Need to do House Chores

YUK! Big time. I hate housework. Always have. Even as a kid I hated doing chores. Today I had it set in my mind to get it done. Now mind you, I don't have a lot to do. I just had an inspection so the apartment is still pretty clean. But I did want to get the floors vacuumed and the kitchen and bathroom floors washed. And take my quilt and blankets to the laundromat - not my daughters it would take all day. So far that hasn't happened. I started out here to get my notifications done, but was only here a couple hours when my back hurt so bad I couldn't sit any longer so spent about four hours in the recliner with the massage chair pad going to work out my back and also the Ibuprofen worked. Now the notifications are done and I'm going to try to get the vacuuming done. I hope I can. My back can't take a lot. Another thing that's been driving me nuts today is my insatiable hunger. I'm also guzzling water like there's no tomorrow. Since a couple days ago when I hardly ate or drank anything because I wasn't hungry, I've been eating a lot. I also need to get to the store before I run out of food. I'm almost at that point. I'm going to be busy with all that this weekend and getting work done on my book. I'm at the crucial part of the book where the major revisions are taking place. I only have 25 chapters left to go before I'm finished. The first 20 chapters went pretty fast. I found a lot of missing commas, some extra words, and some inconsistencies, but not a single typo, for which I'm grateful. So the book is coming along and I hope to be finished with it by the end of next week. I wanted it done by the first, but I don't see that happening at the moment. How is your day? I hope it's been good. The weather here is nice and the weather guy said we could have four days without rain. If it happens it will be the first time since the first week in May that we've had that many days in a row without rain. I hope it happens. I'm tired of the rain. Thanks for reading.

I got up and did the laundry and cooked. Now I am looking at the dust and thinking about chores.

I am not a fan of housework either, maybe because it is just never ending. I am glad your book is moving along.

It is never ending. The dishes are never done because you are forever using them. The bed always needs making because you always sleep in it. Your clothes always need washing because you always wear them. It's a never ending cycle. Thanks. It is closer to being finished again every day.

@just4him Absolutely. I cannot figure how two people, who do eat out some can always have dirty dishes.

I am a fanatic about both my homes and do something every day to keep up with housework. Of course, my cleaning lady was here today, but I also tackled big jobs, too.

@just4him My house is all nice and tidy this morning. Now I have time to go out for a light lunch with my hubby and next door neighbors, and then have guests over for nibbles and drinks, before we all go out to dinner together. See ya!

When I first got married a century ago, I went to a friend of my husband's home. When we walked in she said 'Don't mind the mess.' She was a fanatic too because her home was immaculate. I'm doing much better with my housework, but I doubt I will ever be a fanatic about it.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I looked at the weather this morning and it looks like we're going to have our four in a row, and maybe even five. Now that would be nice.

That is a lot of work revising your book. But the hard work will be worth it when the book is done and ready to be sold.

I don't mind housework if I keep it up. Its when I let it slide that I find it really hard to get back into the swing of things. I had planned on doing a little this evening, perhaps that will get done tomorrow morning.

@Juliaacv I hope he did the grilling. I would be too exhausted after all that to do anything on the grill. We don't have tax free days here. I looked it up when someone else wrote about their tax free weekend.

Never minded housework or other things involved with keeping things organized. However, would much rather be working indoors rather than outside.

I agree. Summer is too hot to work outside and winter is too cold. Indoors is so much better. Besides, you don't need to worry about rain or snow either.

Have you had your blood sugar checked? Some days I cannot get enough to eat or drink. Sometimes I am eating to fill another hunger so to speak. But I am diabetic and excessive hunger and thirst can be a clue that you should be checked for it. I am sorry about your back. I have dishes in the dishwasher, Have scrubbed sink and tub in one bathroom. Conditioning my hair. Need desperately to wash the floor in the kitchen areas.

Yes, my blood sugar is fine. I have regular blood draws due to my wonderful disease - colitis. So far all my blood work is normal. Even my iron, which was low is in normal range, but they still recommend me taking my iron supplements.

I'm not the greatest house keeper. I keep things put away for the most part. Except lately since i've been developing new hobbies like coloring adult coloring books and inspirational coloring books, and Dot To Dot and learning how to read music and play a keyboard This is answer to prayer as before I had time on my hands and couldn't figure out what to do with myself so I'd pop an anxiety pill some times I'd pop more than I was supposed to. Well I've been set free by the power of God Amighty for 17 days its a Miracle and I can't thank God enough. He loves us so much and wants to be part of our lives forever. Do you know Jesus? John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish (go to hell) but will have eternal life. Just the whisper of His name effects the atmosphere JESUS! Call out to Him today and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need forgiveness. He wipes the slate clean and we are brand new when forgiven. It's the most important decision of our lives as we don't know when our time is up. I don't know about you but I'm going to heaven when I die. And it could be today only God knows when our time is up. Just remember He loves you with an unconditional love and will not give up on you~

@just4him Thank you for your words of encouragement. He is most definately keeping me busy. I've been walking with the Lord for 30 years and I can't thank Him enough for what He's done in my life. He broke my addictions for certain as I tried and could not stop!

Housework is just one of those things that never ends. There's always something that needs doing. I should be vacuuming too but I'm sitting here at the computer ignoring the dust on the floor
