They Totaled My Car / myLot

Yep, I found out today that they totaled my car. I wasn't surprised at all. I seen the damage that was done and how old the car was so I expected that to happen. I am getting more for it than I thought I would so now I will be able to get another vehicle. I have been checking out a lot of different ones on craigslist and my son is checking other places. He will go with me when I want to test drive a vehicle. It is d to have a son who is also a mechanic.

The complicated way they build cars nowadays, you can get in what you think is a slight fender-bender, and the insurance company ends up totaling your car. It is often cheaper for them to replace a vehicle completely than it is to pay for complicated and costly repairs.

That's true. Mine was a 2003 Chevy Malibu which has no trunk now and the rear axil is bent plus other damages. I miss the older vehicles.

@velvet53 The first car I ever totaled was a 1977 Pontiac Trans-Am. It was the exact same car as the one in the movie Smokey and the Bandit. I was really depressed when I wrecked that car!

@velvet53 Yes there are lots of dishonest people so its not your fault. It is hard to judge which car would be good too.

I will. My son is going with me and he knows vehicles pretty well. He can usually listen to a noise on a vehicle and tell what is wrong with it right away.
