Guys, I need your help with the career I should choose. I am intelligent when it comes to mathematics in my class, I am possess musical skills, my dad is a computer operator, he deals with video editing and I already have some idea in video editing though not as much as a video editor. Now I want to choose my career, I don't even know what to pursue in life.

You need to choose what is most fun for you. Think about what would make you look forward to working. When you get up in the morning you should be happy that you are going to your job. Be sure that it's something you really enjoy doing. That's the best advice I can give you. It is awful to get up and dread going to work then spend the day watching the clock, hoping it goes fast so you can escape work. That's no way to live.

Music is motivating, interesting and inspiring. Maths is like a puzzle game, you know that you enjoy doing it despite it difficulty. Editing is also interesting, you make use of different idea and tactics. I'm totally confused

@Oshobu Those are all such interesting careers and they benefit humanity, too. I would say that math seems to be a job that will always be in demand while music would be a great hobby or side job. It's great that you enjoy and are good at all three because you will always have something you enjoy doing to fall back on should one career not be in demand by employers. Is there someway you can intern at a job to see what it is like? That would be a good idea. Also, The Horse has great advice. You may not have all the information you need for a decision.

@Oshobu Improve on your musical skills and compositions. One day you might be doing awesome musical scores for great movies. My daughter accompanies musicians at their performances.

Have you made a list of the first five priorities you'd like to do and work hard for to generate money and be a good success at it/them. ?

@Oshobu Or a mental list ? I think it's good idea to keep our focus on our goals for at least a day at a time, if we have a list. A long term one-- future. I do wish you all the good results all your hard work may bring. You'll do many great things!

Well you can do both actually. Maybe take up a career in Mathematics as a full time job and you can practice your music and also make this a part time job

I'd keep taking math and music classes and see what shakes out.

You should choose a path that most interests you. Someone wise told me once 'if you do what you love and love what you do you will never work a day in your life'. I am a teacher and I love it. I have such a passion for it. No it isn't easy and there are some bad days or moments but still absolutely enjoy it. If you are savvy with computers and good with mathematics you should look at careers that deal with both. Find what interests you, speak to others that do the jobs that might interest you to get their perspective. Also keep in mind there are many people in the world who have multiple careers because they also did not know what to pursue. I wish you luck!
