Looking for a tea storage chest box

I have many boxes of tea in my house. Some of them have a variety of teas. I don't want to have all these boxes filled with tea packets. Instead, I want one box that can fit all the tea in it. At first I was going to get a plastic container and put all the tea bags in there, but then I realized that this would not be a good idea because it would make it harder to find the tea I want. So, I decided to get a tea storage chest box. I don't just want any tea storage chest box. I want it to be made of wood and have eight compartments for tea bags. I've searched for it for a long time at my local stores but was never able to find one like it, so gave up and decided to take my chances with buying it online. I did a search on Amazon and found one I like that has great reviews and a high rating, but it costs forty bucks. That seems a bit much to pay for a tea storage chest box, and frankly I'd prefer not to spend that much on it. Can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost that much? And where to get it...

Do you have a friend or family member that could make you one? That way you could have it designed exactly how you'd like it.

Unfortunately, I don't have anyone that can make one for me. I have to buy one, but don't want to spend a lot of money. I talked to someone yesterday though, and they told me they used to have one, but theirs cost one hundred bucks. Wow! So I know they don't come cheap. Maybe paying forty bucks for one is not a bad price.

@Genipher Probably way more than $100. Maybe I should just give in and get that one for forty bucks. It's not 100% what I want but it looks pretty nice.

@lovebuglena $40 starts looking pretty good when compared to $100, eh? I'm even cheaper...I just use a shoe box and keep the tea organized. I wonder how much it would cost to hire someone to custom-make you what you want?

Thanks. I thought of doing that before but that would not be very convenient for me. And wouldn't look nice either.

The one we use has six spaces and a clear lid (plexiglass) that lets us see inside @lovebuglena We know it was purchased at a Wegman's Grocery Store somewhere and given as a gift.

I don't think we have Wegman's in NYC. The one that I saw on Amazon had glass on the lid so I could see inside the box. Had it been cheaper I'd have snatched it up right then and there.

Have you checked Amazon?

I did a search on Amazon, as I've mentioned in my discussion. The one I like is $40. Not sure I wanna spend that much. May have to though because while there are cheaper ones there as well, I am not a fan of them, at least the ones I looked at so far.

Yeah. I had the same problem. Searching for a wooden storage but I could not find one on Amazon. So finally decided to make my own and prepared it. Of course, the finish is not up to the mark as I needed some special tools for bringing a good finish.

Wow! It's great that you were able to make one yourself. I don't have the skills or the knowledge to do that.
