No longer here to celebrate your birthday

Today would have been my paternal grandmother's birthday. Sadly, she is no longer with us to celebrate it. Been a number of years since her passing. Miss her a lot today!!! I will toast to her tonight during dinner. And maybe I will go outside , stand on the hill next to my house, overlooking the cemetery where she is buried, and talk to her.
It's interesting that she passed away the same month that she was born. She was born August 1st but passed away August 24th. At least she had one more birthday celebration before she went away from us. She died peacefully in her sleep in her own bed, which is something we all want. I hope when my time comes that I will go the same way.

I am sorry for your loss. I know its hard. It is for me on my lost loved ones birthdays too.

Thank you! Sad to think about her being gone knowing I would have been at her house celebrating had she been alive.
