“What would happen in your magic window?”

It has been raining in my city for more than a month now. I am just adjusted to abnormal weather since birth. The culprit is the monsoon rain and can add also the upcoming typhoon starting this month. Rainy season is fast approaching and it would result to hibernation in random here. I was looking at my room’s window this afternoon and my mind was floating to elsewhere. Then, I saw the beach outside my window. All the people were so glad having their activity. I saw Mr. Sun shines so bright. It was nice to have a “magic” window for a short span of time. “What can you see in your magic window?” “Are you aspiring for something to happen in the future?” “Is there something wrong to daydreaming?” Image Credit: unplash.com

I love this photo Shavkat..is it you? There is something magical upon how a window can transport us to a different view. It is a charming scenario. I often am drawn to my window here when I am disturbed about something, and it lets me travel elsewhere, my mind can wander a bit.

How I wish, my friend. I got the photo from unsplash. The photos on this site are in good quality. It is nice to dream about something while fully awake. We can make a good story.

Well, the photo is not you... You live at the beach? And you haven't (pretend) invited me out for vacation yet? There is nothing wrong with a good imagination, Shavkat! Nor daydreaming! I see my bamboo and sugarcane plus the Pampas Grass... Looking at them is much nicer than seeing all the houses and people living around me!

@DaddyEvil I wish I can also travel even in s short distance. I missed being a backpacker. If I can only settle things up here, I will definitely splurge some money in traveling in the beach. I think Pretty is lucky to have you and hers, too. "Why does she refuse to ride on an airplane? Does she has a phobia?"

@Shavkat Pretty is agoraphobic... She can panic if she gets in a crowd of people or if she can see too much around her. (When I brought her home from Pennsylvania where she was in college (a 20 hour drive from home) she panicked the entire drive.) We usually go swimming late at night. We put on glow bracelets so we can find each other in the dark on the water. (LOL! Cars stop on the bridge above where we swim when they see the glow bracelets if we are swimming! )

@Shavkat Living near any larger body of water would be a dream come true for me, as well, dear friend. Pretty and I live on one of the highest spots in the Ozarks. (The Ozarks is part of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma. It is a plateau that rises above the surrounding states.) There is a large lake about 45 minutes drive from our house where we love to go swimming during the summer. Unfortunately, I believe my traveling days are over. I can't leave Pretty alone long enough to make a long distance trip and she refuses to fly on a plane.

I am so sorry that rain is disturbing your daily life. I hope it gets better soon. But I love rain so much that I would like to see heavy rain from my magic window

@Shavkat okay, I understand that too much rain ruins our daily activities and disturb life badly.

Oh, okay that explains why it's been cold here because last week it's very hot but these days its kind of cold. Daydreaming is not bad but doing it every day is not healthy.

It is better to have a dream than nothing. I also felt like some kiddies don't have their own dreams. I find it weird when asking them about their dreams. What's going on with their minds lately?

@rheicel For sure, it is unproductive if they don't do any actions. It should be dreaming with actions. I agree with you.

@Shavkat Yes but it's kind of different from daydreaming. They say that doing daydreaming almost every day it's not healthy because they're being unproductive the whole day thinking of something.

@Shavkat - Answering your question is difficult for me because my magic window provides magical views of things so magical that I cannot predict the view through the window. -Gus-

I love to day dream and often do it. We have had a lot of rain too but no typhoons, in the news we see a lot of flooding in the states and Canada but not where I live, I live on a mountain.

I think we both live on the mountain. We don't worry about the flooding. I think it is also nice to make dreaming as a hobby.

Daydreaming is our escape hatch, to another more pleasant place! God gave this to us, for rainy seasons, such as this one you're having:( For me, it's the long, winter months when we are buried in snow, up to our windows! I use to mope around and get depressed about this freezing cold climate. Then, I thought about it. I'd never want to move away from here, I actually love where I live, and no place else compares to this one:)

It is nice to hear that you are adapted and settled in your place. I do think I can't live in a cold place. I had tried one time to live in a country with four seasons. Winter is disliked the most.

@Shavkat I hated winter, terribly! Until I learned to do things indoors, that are enjoyable. Being an outdoorsy person is hard, if you are forced to stay inside the house for months!:(
