His future project

My husband is very handy. He has built many things around the house and repaired things around the house. Last month, he bought a "Kitchen Counter Resurfacing Kit". Our kitchen counters are as old as the house (about 27 years old), when you look at them, there is evidence of worn areas from continued use while cooking and cleaning them. They are lighter in color with a hint of color that matches the cabinets. He wants to not only Resurface them, he wants to give it a more granite feel and a slightly different color (that still matches with the cabinets). So, that is what he bought. The box is still sitting in the living room. He says that he will need a full weekend to do the project. He will do it when he knows for sure he will have a full weekend off from work. I just know that when he does this, I will think of something to do in town. I know for a fact that the chemicals he will put down will smell. And I can't take those smells.

Yes chemicals are so bad, I hope you may find somewhere to go during that time when your husband is working Anne.

Good luck to him restoring your counters. I'd find something else to do as well.

Thanks, I am sure it will turn out nice, since he is so good at building and creating things.

Well at least you will have a remodeled kitchen so you can be glad of that. Make sure that he uses a proper face mask and gloves when doing this. You will be out of the house but he will be in there oh and of course proper ventilation is so important.

When he finally does it please take a picture. We have talked about trying it and were wondering if it is hard to do. I hope it turns out beautiful for you.

Sounds like a good idea to find something else to do while your hubby does the work in the kitchen. I'm sure it will look nice when he's done and you're lucky he's so handy

if you don't really like the smell, I guess its better you leave the house while the repairs last
