When I was in my college days, I buy things that come in trend. Whether it's a pants, shirts, shoes and even bags. I will buy them just to keep up with what they called trends. But I will always have my own sense of fashion.
I wear most of the time shirts and pants and sneaker. Before I have a pair of W. Brown boots which I wear occasionally and when it rains. I also have two pairs of Adidas shoes, a Chuck Taylor. I never wear ladies shoes such as sandals or doll shoes because it makes me uncomfortable.
And today's generation. I saw some friends who change a lot when it comes to fashion. Some were late bloomers because they can now go with the trend even if they are not teens anymore but they look comfortable with their get up.
As for me today, I don't go with the trend anymore because I can't wear them. I can't go outside without a sweater or a jacket or a long sleeve. I need to hide that big veins you know.

It has always taken me a couple years to accept the fashion of the day. My advantage now is that they are bringing back all the things from my younger years that I actually like (long skirts and dresses, smock tops, culottes-- although they have a different name for them now). So I am happily buying a few new things this year. I tend to wear my clothes that I like until they get threadbare.
