Bringing & Singing

This weekend my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew are coming to visit my dad. They'll get here on Saturday, and go home Sunday afternoon after church, but I still look forward to it. They are singing Sunday morning in church, about three songs. I think I've only mentioned it once that they are good singers. My brother-in-law was in a professional choir that toured Europe. My sister has a really good voice, but my brother-in-law has a really great voice. Some of you may have seen the picture I recently posted of my Huddy Buddy (Hudson), whom they just officially adopted. He's made some progress since I saw him last (he has fetal alcohol syndrome), so it will be uplifting to see some of that. And, of course, who could forget Amyra? She's six and like a whirlwind, which I'm sure parents and grandparents can imagine. Who was the last person or people that visited you? I don't have an extra room, but thankfully my dad has a guest bedroom for them.

Oh I am glad you will have this visit even if they are at your Dads.. It is good he has room for them Ambie. I know you love to see the children so much. How is your Dad doing too by the way? Nice to know about the singing in your family too. I donĀ“t have any visitors anymore. It is fine. It has been many years since I did.

If I didn't have my dad I wouldn't have visitors either. If we lived near each other we could visit each other.

Tiara, do you miss having company? Seems like very few actually visit anymore. If we were neighbors, I would love to pay you a visit. The last visitor I had was my cousin who was recently in the hospital for month. It's a miracle from God that he survived MRSA pneumonia and intestinal surgery.

Camping, sounds fun if it's not too hot.

@AmbiePam Just the opposite! It was chilly all weekend! Not too cold for camping, but certainly too cold for the water park we went to on Saturday. Oh well, still had fun!

Wow, it has been a while since anyone other than our grandkids stayed at our house. My friend stayed in Florida with us.

The last person who visited us? Let me think... the fiancee of our niece, he came to bring me a gift because they were living for vacations, he stayed for dinner. The last guest who spent several nights in our house is a friend of my husband.

When people come visit us, they end up in the hotel. We just have no extra space for anybody. That is ok, we live in a small town and the hotel owner really likes us a lot.

How wonderful to hear this super news! You have a very talented family. I remember little Hudson, and am thrilled he is making good progress. Yes, I certainly can imagine adorable Amyra being a whirlwind. That's such a cute, but exhausting age. lol Our soon to be married son last visited us yesterday! It's always wonderful when he pops over.

I love it when adult children want to be around their parents. It means you must have done a good job, which you did!

As far as spending the night or weekend - never. People either come to stay - as in move in with me, or they stay for a hour or two and are gone. I hope you had a good weekend.

It sounds like a fun time for all of you. I had company over for a night awhile back. I only have one bedroom and I gave that to them. I love my couch so I didn't mind sleeping on it. Have a wonderful weekend.

I visited an aunt. It was very good to see her. That visit you are having sounds like a welcoming one.
