The potatoes burned in the pot.

I put some potatoes in a pot and started to read and write here. I thought that I had turned off the fire but nope, the fire was on, the water had evaporated and the potatoes were burned. The kitchen was a mess. There was the burned potato smell, the steam from the water, and the cabinets were wet with the water. This is not the first time this happens. Well, I guess I´ll have to eat some bread and butter for dinner. I am not too hungry and this took away any interest I might have in the kitchen today. I´ll pamper me right now with a coffee and will then go to bed. I guess I´ll mylot from bed in some minutes. See you.

@NJChicaa I usually burn potatoes because I say to myself that they are so easy to cook.

It's really disappointing when you burn something while cooking. I remember the bacon I left in the oven get charred

Not many. Maybe 3 or 4 small ones. The worst was the smell in the kitchen. And tomorrow I´ll have to wash the pot I left soaking.

It happened also to me a couple of time. The smell is horrible and it has been very hard to clean the pot.

Yes. And as I don´t use gloves to wash, my hands are destroyed too.

I hate it when I do things like that. The last thing I burned was popcorn! I was busy getting a glass of water and didn't shake the pan (on the stove). The biggest trouble for me is that I don't think to take the computer to the kitchen so I don't hear or smell things until it's too late.
