One of the common fear that human beings has is the fear of the dark. Maybe we can still recall during our childhood days how we used to be afraid of the dark for a host of reasons right? There is something mysterious, "sinister", or fearsome about the darkness of the night. Maybe it is the fear of the unknown, or just our human imagination running wild. Even some adult cannot sleep at night if their light is turned off or someone is hesitant to even go to the toilet during midnight. Were you afraid of the dark during your childhood days? Are you afraid of the dark and why? Image source: youtube.com

I was not particularly scared of the dark when I was a child and now I am fascinated by the dark. There is something mysterious not being able to see what is going on around you.

@ridingbet Yes my friend it was deleted for the 2nd time or 2x in a row my friend. I hope this instant post/discussion will not be deleted for the 3rd time by whoever is deleting my 2 previous post. It's no wonder that @jaboUK made a post titled "Slightly Annoyed" for the very same reason that one of her post was deleted. I hope that the person deleting my previous post will have the courtesy to pm me as to the reason why. It is very unprofessional or unethical I think if no explanation will not be given at all. Thank you my friend.

Yes, in my childhood, I was afraid of the dark! After I realized that in the dark there is nothing that is not in the light! I hope to be more or less clear, because you have to forgive me, my English is not really correct. And for this, please forgive me!

I don't ever remember being afraid of the dark. There was always a night light in the bathroom in case we had to get up. And it seemed like there was always street lights shining in.

It isn't the dark that I'm afraid of, it's the centipedes, there are many of them around here and they only come out in the dark and I do not want to be bitten by one.

It's being stung or bitten that I'm afraid of @mandala100 centipedes can grow to over 6 inches and they have a poisonous sting that can really cause harm.
