No More Groceries!

Well..Let me explain. Ive been quite the food shopaholic for the last couple of weeks between Aldi and discount grocery stores. Ive been hoarding my purchases but then not really eating it and just accumulating stuff. Its all healthier food, frozen veggie steamers, Boca and other nonmeat burgers, tons of oatmeal, several cans of soup and three bean salad, protein and fiber bars and more. Also now I have about 6+ boxes of varieties of tea.
I decided last week before I return to any grocery store I must make a dent on these items! I just enjoy finding great deals too much. At the same time it bugs me to have so much uneaten food on hand.
Have you experienced this? Do you like food shopping too?

No, I hate all shopping, love food, but hate shopping for it. I almost think I would rather go to the forest and kill me a deer than shop. Coo you like it though and also recognize your problem.

Never.
There is so little food in my house always.
I buy what is necessary as that is all I can do.
I would love to have a lot of stuff stocked up but no.
The only thing I do have is 3 big bags of rice, just in case there is no way to get food.

@maezee Yes I bought 3 bags (75 lbs) 25 lbs each for a total of 42 dollars on the Walmart site..it is the fine Jasmine rice from Thailand..and free shipping..I didnt have to carry it up the stairs then and now we have rice for at least a good 6 mos or more. All I have to do is add whatever I want to it. It is sealed in containers and will keep.

I actually hate shopping basically for anything. I don't like spending money like that. Unless it is to finish up a room in the house. We need to go soon when money permits. I do like being stocked up thou and we are for the most part but there is a few things we are going to be really needing soon.

I love to food shop, just did that today. I like finding new things to try and new ways to make the same old stuff brand new again.

Every two weeks I restock my shelves because I run out of food. I don't like having too much food in the house because the space is limited, I don't want to create waste, and the way I consume food, it would be difficult to finance. The car does not like my grocery shopping because it does weigh it down. When I shop it looks a though I have bought enough food to feed a family of four for a month, when it is only me and barely make two weeks. I am a small horse with the appetite of a family thanks to doing heavy lifting at work all day. My shopping is bad enough even why I find deals that I qualify to upgrade my membership at Costco. I do not regret eating like a horse, that I am a horse, and the costs of grocery shopping.

Haha great answer. It is very hard to predict what 2 weeks of food looks like for me. Some weeks I feel I barely am hungry and other weeks I am ravenous! So I understand that. You also do not want to buy too much and let it rot (if its something fresh like produce)

We usually only buy whats needed. Use to stock up though and food would go to waste

We never had to really deal with this haha because most of the time, we are scraping out the cupboards anyway at the end of the month.

Ahh well then in that case it is good to have a back up / stocked fridge and pantry in anticipation for the end of the month. My poorest times are the first of the month (when rent is due) but honestly I feel I save so much at Aldi and discount stores that it is easy to survive on $15 of food per week for me if ned be (or less).

@maezee Most of my mom's money goes to all the bills so by the end of the month we have around 5 dollars. which my mom still somehow gets 3-5 meals out of and hardly anything goes to waste.

I have shopped for vegetables yesterday because I was planning to make soup. But got delayed so I have saved it for another two days. I will shop again once I ran out of ingredients for my veggie soup.

I like to stock up when I see a good bargain so there are times when my pantry is filled to the brim
