Hidden treasures

I'm getting pretty good at being fully absorbed in whatever I do. There are hidden treasures everywhere.
The other day, as we were setting up for an outdoor gig, one of my brothers (from another mother) came over, with his owner riding him. I was in human form, for the gig, but my brother recognized me and put his ears up. I sniffed his nostrils. He sniffed mine. It was good.
A week or two before that before that, we were visited by doves. There haven't been that many birds this year, so I just kicked back and watched as the adults taught the younger doves to fly. I love the sound of their wings when they take off.
On Sunday, I added a coat of Watco Walnut Danish Oil to a speaker surface I'd refinished weeks before. The grain took on a three-dimensional quality that was really beautiful. I was given this pair of speakers, in terrible shape, and now they're beautiful. Someone is going to get them for $40.
Have you found beauty in the mundane lately? Or turned the mundane into something beautiful?

Have you found beauty in the mundane lately? Yes.
Or turned the mundane into something beautiful? Yes.
Nice of you to turn the speakers into $40. How much was your profit?

@allen0187 Yep. I DO like making some money from what I do. It adds up over time. But getting these things back into service (and enjoying the beauty of the wood) is a big part of it.

I am really impressed your "brother" recognized you in human form, pony! (He must have been exceptionally gifted for a horse... or you were still sporting the tail and the scent from your horse self while in your human guise... Both of those explanations work for me... how about you? )
I haven't created anything lately that I thought was beautiful... Most of the time I can't see. Since I am visually oriented, not being able to see really cramps my style and creativity! (That's what I am going to say if anyone else asks me the same question! )

@TheHorse I usually can't see because of a high pollen or spore content to the air here. (It has been high spore count for the last month.)
I bet you're right, pony! I kept telling you it wasn't necessary for you to bugle a challenge at every stallion you see, especially in your human guise! SMH!

@TheHorse most of her friends, I think, if they admitted it, already kinda knew. I did. But I'm more...observant when it comes to what ppl think they are hiding. And her friends are accepting. Her family not so much. Her work is. She needs to get into a professional psychologist or something though, opening the door to admitting this, has make the dysforia worse along with the swings from being happy to being more like she wants to be, and sad from not being just... what did she tell me last night... "Can't I just wake up tomorrow and be right?"

Yes I see the beauty all around me, daily for the most part.
I dont know why but I cant seem to get back to writing or even painting, I have it all in my head but have yet to get it on the paper or canvas.
However I do make some of the best jams and jellies this side of the Mississippi, I think I am getting fat!

It must be love... I love watching princess..listening to her when she is teaching me something...she is always telling me to do something, or teaching me...I guess I look really dumb...this is how you do it...right? hmmm ..it may seem very ordinary thing to others. But I absolutely love this unpaid teacher. lol

Yeah I've... I always believe today's newspaper is tomorrow's waste paper and it really does not go waste .. it creates a business entity for someone else who turn archeaolgical things to fortune ones... good that you made a good fortune out of those speakers .. =)

Some of the oils we have used over the years really made a difference in the wood pieces we have.
