This afternoon, I visited my grandchildren and all of them are sitting on the old table in the garden. It was a perfect shot for them to be together in one area. Mousy stands out in the photo and I also feel fascinated with the black furs of the three gremlins at the same time. Up to this date, I cannot give names of the three black kittens. I can't determine which is which.lol “Do you think I need to give them cat collar with ID tag?” “Any suggestions? Image Credit: Shavkat

Yes, I think you need to give them names and what if you name them Bubble, Blossom and Buttercup

@Shavkat okay, I have the feeling they're gonna get some attention when you choose the names.

Mousy is lovely, but also the three gremlins are cute. It's hard to see who is who there, you should put a little tag on their necks. Names for black kittens? Ash, Asher, Coal, Onyx, Dusk, Ebony, Blacky, Inky...

It has been weeks that I am so puzzled how to solve this simple dilemma. I go for tagging names of these three cute black kittens.

@Shavkat All your kittens are lovely and beautiful. If I lived closer I would get one.

Grand Children, had me fooled for this young guy. Nothing wrong with being young at heart and not knowing what to name 3 cute cats. I think the first one is Punk , Second one is Ska, third one is Drums.

@crossbones27 It sounds the names are rock stars. I am considering the given names and engrave names in their respective collars.

I love your fur family, Sweet photo. Poor Mousy is alone with all that color. She stands our. The rest might need a collar to keep the fleas away and make them a charm attached to help you tell the difference.

I think I really need to have them in a collar. It is so difficult to determine the black furry ones.

Do they go out? If they do not then they do not need a cat collar. When you have the vet visit you should ask the vet these things. I would loved to have seen his face.

Maybe name tags would help keep them straight!

Better name them before they start growing older. What about their Mom where is she? it's hard to call them if you don't give them names.

Well it looks like only two are pitch black the other has lighter coloring. Surely you can remember the name of that one? I'd think there would be something different about the other two in personality at least. Usually some cats are shyer, some come right away to be petted or to walk close to our legs or something. You may never know the difference looking at those two until they show their personalities. If they are identical that way too, I don't know that it's that big of a deal if you can't remember. I'm guessing these cats belong to your grandkids? Are they able to tell them apart?

It is nice that you were able to notice the black fur color between the two. I am quite not that sharp looking at it. They are my grandkids. The mother is my daughter, lol

I have to look close to see three black kittens. It would be very hard to tell them apart. It would be a good idea to get a name tag for each. Then they could get used to a name.

I agree. Since I first saw them, I really cannot distinguish them. I do agree tagging names will be the best option.

I guess different coloured collars perhaps - or clipping a little bit of fur of each one, in a different place for each. But that would only work until the fur grew back.

my son says all pet names should be 2 syllables, so i hope you can choose 2 syllable names for the 3 gremlins.

Collars with names would be good. Also could have your phone number on them in case one gets lost.

I think a collar with tag is not a bad idea (as long as it fits them properly...I've had issues with that with my grown cat, so I no longer have one on her). You need to know who's who so you can call them by name! I hope you come up with names for them soon, I'm no good at that so I don't have any suggestions.

they are cute. Yeah a id tag would help, or a color collar.

Yes, a cat collar with name on it is a good idea. Three black kittens are hard to distinguish which is which. But they're all cute kittens!
