Jello Soap

United States

As we all know, kids can be so funny. They say and think of things that would probably never cross our minds. Last week my daughter bought some foaming hand soaps at Bath and Body Works. They were having a sale and I do love the scents they have but without a sale they can be pricey. The one she put in the bathroom is called Black Cherry Merlot and the online description of the fragrance is:" An addictive blend of dark cherry, black raspberry & sumptuous merlot" When my grandchildren were here on Sunday and it's time to eat we have to remind them all to wash their hands. My youngest granddaughter came out of the bathroom and told us that our soap smells like jello and she really, really likes it. We all got a laugh when she said it but it got me thinking that she was right. When I make cherry jello and add the boiling water the aroma did smell like our soap. So from now on our bathroom soap is referred to as jello soap

Come to think of it, some soaps actually do look like jello too (the glycerin soaps)! What is it with kids and soap scents . . . my kids always have to smell the soaps of any sink they use and they will often critique the scent! I think they would approve of cherry jello soap too .

Our different scented soaps make the kids more eager to wash their hands. I smell the soaps too when I use them and often take a sniff before buying. Your kids can come and sample my jello soap anytime

That's cute, some of the fruity foaming soaps can smell a bit like jello, hopefully none of the kids get the idea to taste any of that soap.

From "sumptous Merlot" to jelly, there is a big difference.
