A Visitor for my Mom

My uncle Joe lives in a care home is another town,they brought him up to see mom today. She knew in advance that he was coming to visit her . She was sure excited to see him, they haven't seen each other in a long while.I did get to talk to him on the phone as I couldn't make it down there due to sleeping kids .I love it that they brought him up to see her. The picture is my Uncle Joe in the Orange shirt and my Uncle Wayne when he was visiting Joe in Coldwater,Ks .Out of 9 kids Them and my Mom are the only ones left. I did tell Uncle Joe that I would try to get down there to see him and try to get the kids to come with me.

How nice that they brought them together for a visit. Maybe one day all three of them will see each other together...

My cousin said today that she would love to see them all get together so we could get a picture . I think we are going to see if we can make it happen for them . I want to do this so badly, they need to see each other I think.

@sishy7 It is kind of sad that they haven't seen each other in so long Uncle Wayne just lives 30 miles away. He did just finally retire from working road construction though and was gone a lot. Uncle Joe is maybe 40 miles at the most. I wish I would have been able to go down there and see him at the same time.

@jeanena You're right... I notice the same with my mom... She always seems so happy after seeing her siblings especially after a long period of time.

I asked my daughter that works there to try to get me a good picture of them together since they haven't seen each other for awhile.

I feel a sudden sadness about my elderly parents. I am happy to see your Mom got a visit from her brother. I wish both of them peace, comfort and happiness deep within as they grow older.

I would like to take her down there to see him next time. It isn't all that far away and I think it will help mom to get to see family more often.
