Hello friends, Just had dinner. Relaxing now. Do you think jealousy is a disease. This is so common on work places. People are jealous of others achievements. They don't work hard to achieve it, but always try to pull back those who work hard . Hope you are enjoying your day...see you around.

I've met some people that are jealous no matter what. I don't necessarily know if it's a disease but it's not a very becoming trait

I don't think it's a disease, just a bad character flaw.

its not a disease...but an element in human behaviour...at times jealousy leads to one's development too...not all leads to negative outcome though...

@prashu228 let me give u an example...say u r good in ur studies & I am jealous about it, instead of reacting negatively, I set myself a target to overcome u in studies & that's how I develop myself as a better person...jealousy being the trigger

It is an abhorrent character flaw if one is constantly jealous of others.

Not sure it is a disease but many are envy on a lot of things.

I think jealousy is a product of an individual not thinking too highly of themselves. Jealousy usually is apparent in those who have low self-esteem.

No, jealousy is an emotional condition, not a disease. It means that a person is feeling inadequate or is lacking self esteem and finds characteristics in others, or things others have that they want. A disease is a dysfunction that effects a specific location of the body.
