Wedding Bells Rang 27 Years Ago

Jay and I got married, 27 years ago today. I was a basket case that day, while ole 'Jay-bird' (as my Mom fun-lovingly called him) was cool, calm, and collective. The reason Mom did this, Jay had been the chaplain over our county jail-ministry, for over 20 years. She would always tease him by saying, 'We just can't keep my son-in-law out of jail!' The truth of the matter was, he did spend a lot of time in that building, talking with inmates. So today marks the 27th year, since we publicly said our 'I dos', in the East Tawas Pentecostal Church! It has been a very trying, yet rewarding commitment that we made before God, friends, and our family members:) It's a 'til death do us part marriage' and Jay's younger sister Naressia, makes that claim!:)

I was married for 17 years. I was with my ex for a total of 22 years. But I learned that marriage is not what it is made out to be. It is a fraud. Look, having a piece of paper does not matter. And all that paper does is give grief to the people involved. I lost a lot of money thanks to her. She got almost a half million dollars form her uncle and took more than half of what we had. I was left basically broke. I had to start over after 17 years of marriage. But I am happy to be free of it. It is a prison. I am with someone now that is the real deal for me. She is and always will be my soulmate. I was not treated good by me ex. She was a selfish person. And still is.
