Beat the Birds, Just

Hey everyone, I decided to get up early this morning and I'm just beginning to hear the birds chirping, but they didn't wake me up for a change, so I beat their wake-up call. I didn't get to bed until sometime after 12:30 last night as our County Fair is beginning on Sunday and everyone and their grandpa was in yesterday to get some victuals. I got a bit of overtime working nine hours.
My husband just left for work forty-five minutes ago and he never turns off the lights. I got up to take care of that and decided to hang the new curtains I purchased on sale last night to see whether they'd work out. I intended to hot-foot it back to bed for a few more hours and decided to stay up instead. I can always catch a nap before heading off to work later at two pm.
I'm hoping to go through a few boxes upstairs that I took out of my van that we took to the dump in April and see what can be thrown out and maybe get some floors washed and that type of thing while my daughter is still sleeping and I won't have to worry about anyone slipping on wet floors.
I was supposed to rain most of yesterday afternoon into the night and finishing up today, but instead we got a hard rain about five pm that lasted roughly ten minutes or so and then nothing else at work. Maybe around town it rained more or less.
For some reason my copyright symbol isn't working out. I'm pretty sure I was pressing 0169 while holding down the alt key. Anyone know whether I'm forgetting the numbers or order or something?

Agreed. I took it after putting them up. It's cloudy out currently. Will have to wait a few more hours and try again.
After finding out I'm doing it correctly from JJ, I thing possibly my 9 key may need a bit of cleaning and then maybe it will work better.
Just used some forced air and still nothing. I may need to remove those keys and clean it that way. Maybe later.

@MarshaMusselman Turn the keyboard upside down and tap on the back several times. You will be surprised to see how much dirt comes out.

@LadyDuck It still needs more work or cleaning as that didn't take care of it either. I've actually popped the keys before and cleaned underneath them too. That's probably what I'll have to do. If it still doesn't work then it doesn't make sense at all. Although jj says he has certain ones that don't work on his newer keyboard either although that one does for him too.

@just4him Here are some, Valerie, but it appears that each operating system has their own. I think these may be for Windows users, but I've not tried any yet to be sure. I may have to check them out later for myself too.
My mom was a secretary and knew a lot of them, I've only learned one or two or so.
Btw, I've not read the section about the Passion that we talked about previously, but I've been thinking about it and know I need to tackle it soon.

I only know two of the many shortcuts. The other one I know is to do a longer dash, but I've not done that one in a long time and may not remember it any longer. It appears that I've been doing it correctly but probably I have too many crumbs under the keys and it needs a more thorough cleaning before it will work again.

@MarshaMusselman I use PicsArt almost every day, but never actually used the edit option. Going to laptop now to check out windows version. Maybe I'll learn something.

After about twenty minutes I was dragging, so I did go back to bed. But, it still took me a while to fall asleep and then when the alarm rang I didn't want to get up. I slept longer than planned and didn't do anything but put up the drapes and hang here for a while.
I was going to try the collage on picsart for my image, but couldn't get the editor to work. I realized maybe it isn't available on the computer but mainly for devices possibly? Do you happen to know? When it's possible to do more than put in the text on photos does it show that before you open the edit option up? on my desktop it only gives me the option to write something, nothing else.

@drannhh Well then, how did you manage the collage with them. Wouldn't that be under the edit option? I see in the video when it opens some of the different things people have done to their photos, but I don't see where to do that at. I don't see any collage options either.
You said earlier it may not work on all devices. What device do you mainly use? If the laptop, I'd think that may be close to the desktop unless you usually use your phone or something. I've not looked for it there yet.
Just downloaded it on my phone. I'll look it over while at work before I start. It does look like more is available on that than my desktop, but we'll see how easy the access is,.

I just got the actual image uploaded here again with the true colors showing through.
They looked correct last night too, the camera just didn't pick up the right colors and the old curtain may have caused it, I'm sure.

@rebelann I'm not sure that the old drapes was entirely responsible for the odd coloring. I took a picture with my camera and put a panel against my leg closer to a light. It looked like it worked until I opened the screen up and then the reds showed through the fabric then too even though I didn't have the other drape nearby.
The darkness may have been more of the culprit.

I woke up much earlier today then I did yesterday. Yesterday my kids and I somehow all slept until 11am. Today I was up at 9:30. I have such bad anxiety I don't know how long I will be here at mylot. I just kind of want to lay down and read and get lost in the book. Hoping that will help me relax.
