The weather is exquisite today. After my morning walk, I walked Doodles, showered, and went out to brunch with my husband and our best friends. Now I'm ready to relax on myLot. For your information, Doodles has been a very good boy. He has been catching one mouse a day where the woods abuts our property, with two last Friday. Don't feel too badly for the mice. My son's future inlaws are Yale University scientists. Mom worked with many, many mice and other animals over the years. Their gestation period is about 21 days with an average of 7 babies, who in turn produce rapidly. Next time Doodles catches a mouse, I will not tell him to leave it alone for its mommy and daddy. I will not cover it with weeds and leaves to protect it from Doodles. I will let him do what he has to do, but I won't kiss him until he has a minimum of three full baths with his tongue. I don't like mouse breath.

@rebelann He sharpened a stick for easy disposal of a mouse. Lol! Actually, they gathered nuts and acorns and put them by a chipmunk hole in a tree. Their reasoning was that the chipmunk would eat the nuts, get so fat, and Doodles would have an easier time catching it. Then they dug for earthworms and found way too many. I had them wash their hands four times before I'd allow them to throw treats to Doodles before they headed back to NY.

Yes, mouse breath is a no no. But hugs to Doodles for being a good prince cat. I just stopped by, I am having some issues here, so will try to get back to you on pm soon. I am happy the weather is exquisite by you, Dianne, keep enjoying it. Talk soon.

It just grosses me out! Remember that expression? lol. I learned something new from her parents. They are a wealth of information. Thank you. Those are actually hydrangeas from a tree we have. I cut them for our dinner party centerpiece.
