What sorts of posts would you not read?

Is there a certain type of post you would not read, or would stop reading once you started? I know we all say we read interesting posts but the title may be interesting but once you start reading it you abandon the post. What would cause you to abandon a post? For me it would be reading and not understanding what I am reading. Another one would be posts having to do with someone going to the toilet - don't care to read about that. Also one liner posts. Even when asking a question I feel it could be done in more than one line.

I don't care about people taking a shower, posting too many posts on the site in one day, and bragging about how much they make on the site. They turn me off and I don't care to read them at all.

I thought it was against the rules to write about how much money you make here but guess I was wrong.

@poehere I know what you mean. It is bragging plain and simple. Who cares.

@Freelanzer They just brag about making tons of money here and laughing all the way to the bank. They never say how much they make. Or some of them brag about making a ton in one day or the most they have ever made on teh site. Sick of seeing these and weeding through them.

If it were too lengthy and someone that I wasn't really close with on here. If the subject matter was something I was not interested in. What I am reading needs to be understood as well. I think if people have some imagination they can make a post of two or three paragraphs. Doesn't have to be a epic.

@Freelanzer .......Same here. If it is going to be a long story they need to break it up into several posts.

I won't read post about things that I do not understand or does note help me in understanding a certain topic. Also, posts that are clearly biased to push forth a personal agenda.

@Freelanzer true. If you understand what you just read, you come up with a better reply.

It sure helps if you understand what you are reading which is not always the case.

I'm curious and so I will read anything if it has an interesting title but may not continue if it doesn't make sense to me or if it is insulting to any group of people.

If I don't understand, yes, that's a huge turn off. Then if it's about a niche I'm not interested in, pretty obvious. I usually avoid politics and religion as well. They're topics I might like, but most of the time I'm not prepared enough to enjoy and respond to such discussions. I had a stomach flu but didn't post about my toilet business. I'm too good.

@Freelanzer They're targeted to specific groups, religion to their own people and politics to people from specific countries. Then inside these groups not everyone is always in the mood to discuss.

@Freelanzer There should be a site only for religious zealots. Yet, if they all went there and wrote their sermons, they couldn't do their missionary work.

Today, I refuse to read any posts about it being National Dog Day! My cat is very angry at me and refuses to come out because of what day it is. I keep telling him that it will all be over in a couple more hours. I also told him to quit being a big baby, and that I'm sure there will be a National Cat Day sometime over the course of the year that he'll get to celebrate.

So funny! I have a dog and he must be mad at me as I had no idea it was a dog day. Oh well. What's a cat to do on National Dog Day? Poor thing.

@Freelanzer Of course I just made up the part about my cat. I don't really have a cat, but I just needed an excuse to ignore all those National Dog Day posts all over social media! Even my daughter was posting pictures of her and her dog all day long on Instagram!

Discussions about how much people have made on myLot, I avoid. Most one liners I avoid. Sometimes I will try to get the person to discuss their topic a bit. I avoid the political and religious but get drawn in sometimes. I avoid all the music and sports posts.

Ones with pictures of cute frogs on toilet paper. (That picture is terrific!!!) The ones I tend to skip are the "I'm new here, how do I make money" posts and "my religion is right, yours is wrong, so convert now" posts. Ones I never skip: music.
