How can I eat Chicken now?

Philippines
August 13, 2017 8:03pm CST
I was surprised yesterday when I ordered chicken meal that they actually offered a spicy flavor which was not available since they opened last week. But since the bird flu that's been going on for days, Mom warns me about buying a chicken meal. As far as I can remember, most of the chickens were mostly imported from China. When China had this bird flu problem, the chains had temporary shutdowns. If your country experience some bird flu or something would you eat any form or chicken meal or dish?

The Department of Health said that if cooked properly, there would be no transfer of the bird flu virus to humans. Still, we've also stopped buying chicken from the market. It's a hassle that I can't eat Chickenjoy from Jollibee if my parents are around...

Based on the news, the farms affected by bird flu are those that supply eggs and not the ones that supply the meat.

@Letranknight2015 I don't think there have been human infections because of the bird flu virus. Better to be safe than sorry though. Right now, no chicken or poultry products for me including eggs.

@allen0187 Every one seems to be afraid of buying anything related to chicken.

I think birds flu does not affect the meat eaters at all.

I'd wait. I feel bad when I eat chicken, because I enjoy hanging out with chickens.
