Show men at 60 be allow to drive a cab?.

He board a cab and the driver is an old man probably in his mid 60's according to him. Along the way the driver got to a point, he stop the car and went without informing my friend what's up, he came back after five minutes still not a word from him, he started the cab and move on, my friend polietly asked him why he left him without a word. His reply was " You can't tell me what to do because of the little penny you will pay me, I am old to father you". My friend was shocked and he couldn't say a word. He is back home now pissed up. Should old men be allowed to run cab services?!
