Today was an exciting day and great weather made it so as the Space Ship took off about 12:34PM. It carried about 6,000 pounds and it was headed way above the clouds to resupply the International Space Station. We can see and feel it right in our house and if the weather is nice we can see it clearly. My husband and I go out to watch it even in the middle of the night. Today I stayed inside and watched it on tv as it is so hot outside. I did feel it though, even in the house. It is always exciting.

@amadeo At night it is really nice as you can see it for a long time unless it is cloudy outside. We can feel it in the house sometimes to. When we first moved here I had no idea about them so close and my husband was sound asleep and I thought the house was falling down. That one shook the house a lot.

@ramapo17 There was extra freezer space, so NASA packed little cups of vanilla, chocolate and birthday cake ice cream, as well as ice cream candy bars. Those treats should be especially welcomed by U.S. astronaut Peggy Whitson, in orbit since November. She's due back at the beginning of September. Newly arrived U.S. spaceman Randolph Bresnik turns 50 next month.
