Adulting is Hard

Fellow myLotter Catherine (@bluesa) and I were discussing the other day about how hard adulting can be, and how we wish we could be like kids again, carefree and oblivious to the woes of the world.
Well, Catherine challenged me to spend my Monday acting like a kid, which I thought would be impossible (because we all know Mondays at work are usually miserable), but just by changing my attitude today, I had the most fun day!
The same crap I usually deal with at work each day was still there, but I took it all with a grain of salt, and actually joked and laughed my way through the day. And you know what? By the end of the day, I noticed my co-workers were all laughing and giggling and having a good time too! All just from changing my attitude!
So thank you Catherine, for challenging me to be a kid again. Maybe this adulting thing isn't so hard after all!

Catherine @bluesa is a dear friend of mine with a 
good head on her shoulders. I'm glad you took up Catherine's challenge and made work fun for not only yourself, but for everyone else, too. I believe we should include her in our West Palm Beach lunch and drinking extravaganza!!!!!

@moffittjc I don't believe she has been to the US, but she knows she is welcome to stay with us in Connecticut or Florida. From what she told me, she can belt down some yummy cocktails, so in that respect, she's passed our test. I hope we wouldn't scare her off! We are BAD!

@LadyDuck Anna, I give my boss lots of reasons to fire me! I am quite the prankster at work, and I'm always joking around! But since I've been at the company for 15 years, I guess it's safe to say that my boss has a good sense of humor!

Attitude makes a big difference, you can have a good day or a bad day it is up to you, but when people around you change because a good mood is infectious I think you will stay with the good.

Glad you had such a good day.
I am changing my not so good mood for the same acting like I was a little girl again helps me to come round and feel better.

I didn't even set out to spread cheer to all my fellow co-workers, I just wanted to act like a child myself. Didn't realize that it would give everyone else around me a smile! That was an added bonus.

It works for me being a fan of Wordgirl who played on PBS Kids from 2007-2015. A Superman parody with comedian Dannah Phirman doing her voice. Learning to laugh at yourself is good for our self esteem.
