Complimentary dishes in Availles LImouzine, France

We’ve now visited the village of Availles Limouzine in France three times – in 2010, 2015 and again this year. In 2010, a restaurant had just opened and we ended up eating there three times in the week. We went back in 2015 and again twice this visist – for Saturday dinner and lunch on Sunday. It is fine dining as we have never experienced it before and the prices were very reasonable. Each time we’ve gone there we’ve been given complimentary ‘tasters’ between the courses we’re ordered. There is usually only three or four choices but what choices they are! I’ll have to do more than one post about our meal so I can show you the photos. The photo today shows the offering before we started our meal. There is a poached quail egg on a little spoon, then guacamole on an incredibly light biscuit and topped with something of which we don’t know the name (!) then finally a small piece of ham. I think I could live in this village!

@JudyEv .. I feel you non-vegetarian eating folks are at a greater advantage. You all can eat vegetarian food, as well as non-vegetarian food. But we have to focus only on vegetarian stuff. Makes us so ignorant...like you mention guacamole..I don't know what it is. lol
