A Wonderful Coincidence

Yesterday Al had his appointment for his CAT scan. When he was done we ran an errand for our daughter since she is stuck home because of the surgery. After leaving her house we decided to stop and have strawberry shortcake at one of our favorite local restaurants. We got a table and ordered. I ran to the ladies room and was surprised to hear my name called.
It was my niece, my sister, and my niece's granddaughter. They were having lunch in the other room of the restaurant. We moved to a table next to their's and spent two hours catching up. Last week my niece and I had been messaging on Facebook and said we needed to do lunch. We both commented that we didn't think we would be getting together quite so quickly lol. It was a very happy coincidence.

My daughter is still in a lot of pain and we don't know the results yet of my husband's tests. As to deliciousness, yes, they make a very fine strawberry shortcake.

@TiarasOceanView She has had to start to take the opioid again, she didn't want to use it after the first two days, it gave her a terrible headache but the pain can't be controlled with just ibuprofen so she took one today.

@BelleStarr I have a doctor's appointment back that way next week, I might stop in and surprise my dear friend there, and probably run into our other good friend. Our friends own the little village store, and its a hot spot for the workers from the school to come over on their coffee breaks, and I love to sit and enjoy a coffee with my old dear friend. I'll have to surprise her with some flowers, I miss her so much, and our birthdays were just last month, the flowers can be a late birthday gift to her.

It is on their menu for about half of the year, this is one of our very favorite restaurants and they make great tapioca pudding and peach blueberry cobbler.

@BelleStarr I don't think I've ever seen a restaurant with tapoica pudding on the menu...that's a very old fashioned item. I remember making that as a kid. Now that cobbler sounds good!

That is a wonderful thing...You must have had a good time. I don't have family around where I live. My kids has all moved away but yesterday while painting I heard someone come in the door and thought it was my husband but it turned out it was my oldest son coming to save me. I sent him an e mail and told him about some computer troubles I was having and ended the email with... and don't make fun of having to help me with the computer... I taught you how to hold a spoon...

Yes it was such a nice time. My sister is in her late 80s and doesn't get out that much anymore.

That's pretty cool that they were at the very same restaurant that you were at and the same time too.
Since you mentioned the messaging of Facebook, have you ever used the instandt messenger on facebook? Tonight I got a notification on my computer for something sent to my husband. I happened to check it out and it opened to my husband's facebook account even though he's never opened his facebook on my computer before.
Isn't that sort of weird? Have you ever heard of that happening before? I think possibly our friend possibly tagged me too, but I shouldn't have been able to see their whole conversation. I hope this isn't happening across facebook.
I don't normally use that service on there, but it's still weird.

I have used the instant messenger on Facebook but I have never had an experience similar to yours because my hubs doesn't have an account, I only open to mine.
