Coincidence?

An old classmate of mine who did grade 4 with me donkey's years ago often came visiting me suddenly out of the blue. The first time was when we were both in our late 30s. She then disappeared for a long time only to suddenly contacted me again a couple of years later.
in one of those later visits, she told me that her gentle husband just passed away suddenly in his early 40s, colon cancer. (I had met him a few times). She cried lots but explained that she didn't want to let anyone know until a year later.
In our next chat a few months later, she told me of her latest romance and how it abruptly finished: in the dark, she accidentally drove her fiance's car over his darling cat. He, a doctor, retaliated a week later, by giving her some drugs which almost killed her.
The last time chatting to me, she told me that she just re-married to some wonderful man who seemed to rub shoulders with all the big names in the country. She didn't want to tell me who that man was however.
Do you have any old friends who would often pop up every now and then in your life like that?
I kept thinking about that former doctor 'ex' of hers and his cat... Would any one really go that far to revenge for their pet? (or was everything just simple accidents, a sort of coincidence? )

@cintol Killing me here, to know that she is married to some famous man out there, and perhaps being famous herself for the last several years, and I have no clue whom she married to. (If I find a snapshot of hers, can you help tracing her? )
Actually, I have another few classmates married to movie producers I heard, but however I tried, I couldn't find them... Odd!

If the doctor did that, I think he is a criminal.

@YrNemo I don't know but I find it strange and also strange that she tells you she got married but doesn't want to tell who she married.

That man did a very cruel act and should pay for it. I had a good friend that I met in grade school and we would keep in touch then I wouldn't hear from her. When I was back home in 2012 I stopped by her house and surprised her. We kept in touch for a couple more years until she passed away.

She sounds like an interesting person, nut why p back up only when theee are exciting things to share. The one about the Dr is a little bit scary. Not a doctor anyone even patients want to upset

That has puzzled me lots. Then again, doctors are only humans like us, so perhaps every now and then, we would meet some unusual cases?

I would tend to believe that there is more to the story than what you were told. I have also found that someone who keeps croping up usually with bad news is looking for attention.

Oh dear, then I was not a special friend of hers at all, but just someone for her to 'chat' to when she happened to be in a mood? Sad, if that was the case. (She has been quiet for a long time this time.)

Oh My Word, her fiance tried to kill her? And she is now married to someone who knows important people. Her life sounds like a soap opera. I do have friends that I lose touch with and then we bump into each other now and then, but nothing dramatic.

I truly don't understand your friend at all.
Why wait a year to tell about her husband's passing?
A doctor willing to give up his career for an accident?
Why keep her new husband a secret?
Why does she pop in and out of your life?
Something sounds very fishy about her.

I was a bit shocked too, finding out that her husband had been gone that long and she didn't even drop me a line (via email I mean). Then again, perhaps I was so unimportant to her and should act like a dog sitting there waiting for some crumbs... (a pathetic image isn't it? )

If she made up stories, then she must have been more lonely and sad than from what she told me. I do sincerely hope that she found what she wanted from the new husband's fancy world. (That wouldn't suit me one bit that sort of life, with parties & rubbing shoulders with the wealthy etc every day/night.)

Wow, that is most unusual. Sometimes I go a year or 2 without seeing a friend of mine -- but nothing like this. I almost wonder if she is prone to making up stories?

Yes, there are people who love cats more than humans.
Well, you could write a book with all the stories she tells you.
Maybe she wants to be your muse but you don't know.

There was one person whom I knew back in highschool. Then a couple of years later he wanted to patch up with me but I just told him I was busy.

A bunch of old friends from high school have been after me on Facebook. The problem is, I only use FB once every few years.

The docs behaviour does seem a bit extreme ...If true that is.
Don't have anybody popping in and out with sudden bits of startling revelation s

It makes life colorful that way perhaps? (Have to admit, I don't understand why she chose to bless me with those interesting revelations. Oh well, they are interesting regardless.)
