Forty years ago on a day like this one (August, 16) Elvis Presley, The King, died. It is not important after all these years the cause of his death although many people blame a person or another. What is incredible for many is that in the hearts of so many people he is still alive. If he is seen here or there is not an issue either. Because for so many of us, his fans, he will live in our memory until our death. RIP Elvis. We love you.

I love him too and I have some friends that are even more in love with him. Sort of like Nino Bravo everyone is still singing his songs.

@marguicha That in itself makes Nino Bravo more important. He was a heart throb for more than one girl I can tell you. Le hubiera enganchado yo misma si hubiera podido. I would have fallen for him myself given the chance. His hairdresser was not very good though for the sake of trying to make him what he was not. He was in Chile a lot and on those videos alguien le tocó las teclas he was somebody else not the uptight Nino Bravo we saw on the Television.

Elvis has to be one of the most widely known celebrities ever. He was not only known for his music but also for his high degree of showmanship. Not exactly a forgetable combination.

Yes, RIP King. They are showing some of his movies on Movies channel this week. My BFF used to play all his records when I went over to her house. She had them all. Never get tired of Elvis.

He had a beautiful voice. And although he changed with time as he put on too much weight, he was always attractive. I have several of his movies.
