Typical summer day here in the panhandle of Florida being hot with high humility which makes it feel hotter. We have been getting pop up showers which helps to cool things down some, but not today and I have venture out much and I hope tomorrow to see some showers as it is suppose to be hot again. the kids locally are already back in school (some for a week already) and I bet some are glad to be there in the air conditioned schools that don't have air at home. They should be glad to living now as when I went to school back in the 1960s and early 70s the schools (especially older) were not air conditioned though I remember the PTA where I went to elementary school started buying window units to help with the fans to keep the rooms some what comfortable. Hope everyone is doing good and keeping cool or warm (for those below the equater.

I hope the temps cool down soon for you and you don't need to wait until mid-October for that to happen. I'm always surprised to hear kids are back in school this early. I'm glad it's air conditioned.

About 15 to 20 years ago they started starting school in the first part of August so that they can complete the whole first semester before Christmas break and add a couple of days so that students could have a fall break too. They also get out at the end of the school end the last couple of days of May.

Our friends in Boca Raton have been miserable with the weather. Thank goodness for a/c! I'm sure many are happy to have it, even kids in school. It's been exquisitely glorious up here, but we do keep the a/c on just in case it needs to kick on.
