Last night I returned back home after picking up my mom. It was about 140 km and it was pouring rain. I drive slowly and left enough gap to Tha vehicle in front. I braked gently and also avoided swerving. If a vehicle was driving at similar speed to mine I stuck behind it and used it as a guide. The visibility was poor even on the highway, but I made it safely. What are your tips for driving in the rain.

My biggest advice for driving in the rain is slow down and don't use your cruise control.

Why specifically cruise control. Is it because it accelerates automatically?

@pitstop My son was driving in the rain with cruise on, hit a patch of standing water, hydroplaned and hit a fence. Thank God he didn't get hurt, but the cruise control tried to accelerate.

How does it feel when you're a passenger in a car and it's raining like crazy.
