My Husband has driven off

My husband has driven off. He took his work computer, his lunch, some signage and coupons. He left behind on the bed his wallet, his box knife, his pens, a notepad, and his phone. I cannot even call him. Be aware that he works forty eight miles away. I wonder what kind of day he will have. If I was not working, I would just take it all to him.

My husband never leaves home w/o his penknife! He would forget me sooner than that knife.

He would have been out of gas and stranded. He realized what he had done about ten miles down the road.

I have forgotten things myself, but not quite so essential. More like a lunch or something. I have snacks at school or could get a school lunch if need be.

That was an upset man when he discovers his mistake. Hope he doesn't get stopped in a road block with no drivers license.

This would not be good... But at least he was not in another state like the time I flew to Dallas and left my Debit Card in WA.

I left my wallet, military dependent ID and some cash in a restroom in Tucumcari, New Mexico when I was going to meet my first hubby's ship coming in from a West Pac cruise. I was driving with a friend from OKC to San Diego. It was turned in at the service station and they called my parents and mailed the wallet to a friend I had in San Diego.

My husband often leaves his lunch and phone behind when he headed off to work. When time allowed I would bring them to him. Unfortunately, there have been times when time didn't allow me to do this. So, he had to go to the store to pick up something. And of course, he was lost without his phone.

@GardenGerty he must have panicked a little bit. My husband usually turns around if he is close enough to home.

Time did not allow for me to run things but he thankfully realized it about ten miles down the road.

@sishy7 He sets his own schedule, so late to work really was not a problem either. He likes to get in early and out early, though.

@GardenGerty Glad he realized and turned around before he's too far... The worst that could happen then would be late for work... But it's still better than being out of gas and stranded somewhere...

I hope it will not be too much of a problem. He surely find someone to have a couple of dollars and he can call you from the office.

He does not work in an office. We are "long distance" from where he works so the store would not have allowed a call. He did figure it out in time, though.

@GardenGerty My husband had a similar problem and the gas station where he stopped allowed him to call home. Local calls are free here if you have a commercial fixed line.

Someone will lend him money and allow him to use their phone. Pens and notepad won't be a problem. He'll survive! :-)

He did notice his pens missing, about ten miles down the road. I doubt he would hear a page at work.

That's a wonder going in my head, like you. Maybe you could email him? Call him on his office phone? I hope he gets by today safe and sound that he won't be needing to call emergency. Any news from him today so far?

He does not work in an office, and is not online with me. He could have e mailed his boss, but in the end I would have had to help him. He only got ten miles down the road before realizing his problem, though.

My boyfriend has done this with his phone and wallet. And then I have no way to get ahold of him at work to let him know he left those things. At least he only works a mile away.

Except for Monday meetings or needing to talk to me, it would not have mattered with the phone.
