Three Unproductive Days and Counting

I took a break from my review classes to focus on my self study and to be able to prepare for a certain interview that I will soon undertake. The first few days were great and then laziness struck again. It is really hard to force myself to do anything whenever I feel this way. I have been like this before and it would usually just go away after a while. It's just that, I could have done so much in three days. I hope I will feel better soon and feel that zest for studying I usually have. Have you ever felt this way before? You know you have to do something, but a strong force keeps you in the couch all day?

My problem lately has been being completely bored with everything I am doing. I open a book and after writing a paragraph or doing a bit of editing, I close it. I watch TV and that is also boring. MyLot is exciting, but I can only answer so many notifications before they're done and I'm on to the next thing in my life. Yes, I do know what you are going through.

Yes! I mean I was even up to that point where I was lazy to open myLot. I was bored like crazy but was lazy to do anything. Ugh. It's so frustrating.

@JeeyanDee I can understand that. If the weather holds out, I'm planning to get out today away from my computer and do something so I won't be bored any longer.

@just4him I think for me, it's about time to go out of town and spend some time at the beach.

The monotony of my life is what makes me lazy from doing anything. I think we both need a change of pace to pump up our energy.

I think that we all have days where we have no motivation. If it happens once in a while then there is nothing to worry. It it happens often then we have to start wondering why and seek some kind of help.

@JeeyanDee If that is the case then the solution is not that hard, is it? The following may not apply in your case. I am just putting it here in case it is or somebody else can benefit from it and I don't want to forget it as I have a short memory and sometimes I think of something important and then I forget it. So, if it doesn't apply then we can both forget it. If one studies the situation of boredom deeper there be be a very serious problem there? If something is monotonous but it is important than we have to change our attitude or else it can hurt us deeply one day?

@1hopefulman I agree with you. Monotony leads to boredom but it could be solved by helping ouselves change our attitude and outlook on certain things

Oh no hahaha. This happens only when I feel like what I do is monotonous. I feel like what I need is a change of pace.

Rarely, but yes I have had days like that. Usually though I cannot sit for long. Sometimes it happens though.

Yes. I too am the kind of person who can't sit still and do nothing. This is rare for me.

Eh, Just pop a frosty and put a bowl of bon bons by your easy chair. I'd write more, but it takes to much effort.

@JeeyanDee I just summon my strength the strength in me, knowing there is no one to help me with the work. And I remember that time is not on my side.
