away with the fairies

I had a grand day out earlier this week. Myself and my favourite two year old took her Mummy to see the fairies and elves in an enchanted wood over the hill and far away. It was magical. It was a day full of wishes and Hello, <insert fairy name here/>! There were unicorns and TWO miniature trains to take trips on. Elves sang songs about all sorts of wonderful things, and grumpy fairies failed miserably at hair-braiding. There was wand making, hat making and even face painting! Bunting danced in the breeze of a warm summer's day, and Toddler Niece bounced along to tunes with a confidence which only two year old toddlers possess. There is also potty-training occurring ... yes, there were accidents. It was a beautiful day and so much fun. Sadly, it had to end, as all things do. I bought Toddler Niece some wings and a wand, and for myself a Fairy ... Honeysuckle. The Perfume Fairy. She's guarding my collection of perfume and scent bottles, bless her little glittery wings. I wish it could be a Fairy Day every day.
