Beaches and Sunsets

I 've always loved going to the beach even if I don't know how to swim. I love listening to the waves and feeling the sand. I'd occasionally go for a quick dip but most of the time, you'll just see me lounging near the shore and picking up sea shells.
The best part and something that I always look forward to whenever I go to the beach is the sunset.This picture was taken just recently and is one of my favorites. The sky had so many colors that day. I have other pictures of sunsets and I know I will continue taking shots of these.

Do you ever find pieces of glass on the shore that are rounded and smoothed by the ocean waves?
I used to love finding sea glass!! So beautiful.
I am not sure which photo or picture is my favorite to think of right now, there are so many friend.
I miss the ocean shore so much..used to live 50 steps from it in the North of the USA.

Thank you! I agree, There was really something different with this one. It started orangey and then those colors came up. The beaches I've been to never had those. I guess it's because of our location. Lots of shells and pebbles but nothing of the sort of glass you described. I'd be happy to see one of yours if you have the pic lying around somewhere.

@rosedust82 I do not have a pic or even have the pieces anymore sadly. Where I lived way out to sea, there was a glass factory many years earlier and it closed so all the glass went into the sea and was tumbled and shaped by the mighty waves and came into shore to make beautiful items.

What a beautiful picture. I have seen many beautiful sunsets on the beach but never took any pictures.

That is an amazing sunset! I have taken a few pictures but I am disappointed as it doesn't really reflect well what I saw.

It was a very pretty sunset. I agree. Sometimes pictures don't capture the colors really well. I'd love to see some of yours if you have them.

I go into my own little world whenever I see the beach. Funny thing is, I don't know how to swim. Haha!

They sure are. Each place I've travelled to have all been different. Some were bright orange, some red, some pink. It's amazing what Mother Nature comes up with.

We have some wonderful photos of sunsets. And certainly you do get some lovely sunsets over the sea. Here is a sunset near the town of Denmark in Western Australia.

Oh this is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. I love seeing both but I tend to take more pictures of sunsets because I'm usually too lazy to wake up to see the sunrise.

same thing with me. I'd have to travel to get to any beaches. Nearest is an hour away from my place. That's why I try to make the most out of it when I'm in those places.

The beach is a fun place to hang out. I am also not much of a swimmer. Since I have a nice porch I am very happy to hang out there in the summer and enjoy it and the kitchen if want something to drink is a stone throw away.

I love the beach. My favorite picture includes some of my favorite people : best friend, my daughters, and my grand daughter.
