Baking cookies with sesame seeds

It has been a long time since I had baked cookies for my kids. They love homemade cookies compare to store bought cookies which are expensive, too much sugar content and the quantity of cookies are lesser than homemade ones. Yesterday, I had bake 4 trays of Black Sesame Seed Cookies for teatime break. I used the Pineapple tarts recipe, mixed with black sesame seeds ( without toast ) and stamp with flower cookie cutter , glazed with egg yolk. Turned out a bit bland, not too sweet but fitted pretty well for my hubby who loves Black Sesame seeds and he doesn't like sweet cookies either. So, he gobbled up 10 cookies out of 14 cookies from the first batch which he didn't realized at all. That had proven that my handmade Black sesame cookies baking session was a success and I am planning to bake some more next week, with different recipe. I am a passionate cookie baker, just in case you do not know. Do you prefer to bake or buy cookies? Photo taken by peachpurple

I love sesame seeds, and I love cookies, which unfortunately have to be gluten free for me, so I pretty much bake my own cookies. But I do not like baking, so I end up not having cookies. That is just as well for my waistline, though!

That sounds awesome. Im not great at baking so I would normally buy them. Is there some health benefit of sesame seeds by the way?

Those look delicious and beautiful! What do you use as toppings, pineapple jam? I love nastar - whenever there's a chance I like to get those homemade pineapple cookies from Indonesia...
